Terms of Service
Last updated 18 August 2026
These cover the hosted service at appealy.creeperdiamonds.xyz. The software is separate: it is licensed to you under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0, and nothing on this page adds a condition to that licence or takes one away.
The software
Appealy is free software under the AGPL-3.0. You may run it, read it, change it and redistribute it under that licence’s conditions — including the one that matters most for a network service: if you run a modified version and let other people use it over a network, you must offer them its source.
There is no separate commercial licence, no licence key, and no feature withheld from a self-hosted copy. If you self-host, this page is not a contract you are party to; the licence is the whole of the arrangement.
Using the hosted service
- You need a Discord account, and Discord’s own terms apply to everything that happens inside Discord.
- You may only add the bot to a server you are permitted to add a bot to.
- You are responsible for what your server asks people in its forms and what your staff do with the answers.
- Do not use the service to do something Discord forbids, and do not try to work around the throughput caps by splitting a server or automating around a limit.
Plans and payment
- Billing is annual. There is no monthly option, anywhere. The reasoning is set out in full on the pricing page and in the source. Monthly figures shown anywhere on this site are computed from the annual price for comparison and are never a cadence you can select.
- Tebex is the merchant of record. It sells to you, collects payment, and handles sales tax and VAT where it sells. Payment questions, invoices and refunds go through Tebex.
- Paid plans are annual subscriptions. A plan that stops being paid for returns the server to the free selection. A refunded payment does the same.
- Refunds within 14 days of purchase. Ask through Tebex, who took the payment, and the server returns to the free selection when the refund is processed. No reason is required within that window. Nothing is deleted when a plan ends — forms, submissions and tickets stay exactly where they are, and only the caps change back.
- After 14 days a plan runs to the end of the year it was bought for. If something on our side is broken and that is why you want the money back, say so anyway — the window is a policy for changing your mind, not a shield against our own faults.
- A plan is only applied after the amount actually paid has been checked against what that plan costs, currency included. A mismatch is refused rather than applied at the wrong price.
- Downgrading to the fully free selection never involves a checkout, because there is no payment to confirm.
- A selection totalling less than $5.00 a year is refused at checkout rather than billed.
Caps and ceilings
Every metered cap has a hard ceiling, including the ones you set yourself. There is no unlimited tier and there will not be one. A request above a ceiling is refused and names the field that is too high, rather than being silently clamped to a number you did not choose.
Exceeding your cap does not delete anything. It stops the action that would cross the line until the window resets or the cap is raised.
Platform bans, and appealing one
A user or a server can be banned from using the hosted bot — for abuse of the service, or for using it to do something Discord forbids. This is separate from and unrelated to a ban inside your own Discord server; guild staff cannot see platform bans, and a platform ban is not something your server’s appeal flow handles.
A platform ban can be appealed. The dashboard shows a banned user the reason and a form to contest it. A product whose mark is an open door does not get to make its own bans final.
Availability
There is no uptime guarantee. The status page is deliberately a static file that does not depend on the API or the database, so it keeps working during the outage it is reporting. It says nothing when the gateway stops reporting in, and after a minute of silence it says so plainly rather than showing a stale green.
The service and the software are provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, as stated in sections 15 and 16 of the AGPL-3.0.
Your data
You can export everything your server has, at any time, without asking. What is stored and for how long is on the privacy page. Nothing is sold.
Changes
These terms can change. Because this site is a plain file in the same repository as the software, every change to it is a commit with a diff and a date — there is no version of this page whose history is unavailable to you.
Not affiliated with Discord
